Message Ok so I have read all the post regarding this but thought I would throw this question out to all of you anyway. I just installed a new Southbend OFE DXD Clutch after replacing a hardly used RPS max street clutch. I already adjusted the pedals when I had the RPS on the car and everything was working fine. Well now I am getting really inconsistant pedal pressure. There is very little clutch when the car is first started - engages almost right as the pedal is lifted off the floor, however the engagement point moves much higher once the car is warmed up. This has all the symptoms of air in the line but I can't see how air got in the line simple by replacing the clutch.

I can't beleive the master cylinder or slave cylinder went because there is no oil leaking out and besides, like I stated, it was working perfectly before we changed the clutch. I have a new master cylinder and slave cylinder on the way, but was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem with air entering the line just from disconnecting the slave cylinder to replace a clutch. We did bleed the line when we put the new clutch in but maybe it just needs to be blead some more. I guess I could just try that first and if that doesn't work I can install the new components but was just perplexed why this would happen at exactly the same time as the clutch was switched. By the way, the master cylinder and slave cylinder have been on the car for about 7 years but only with about 14,000 miles on them.
